UFC officials confirmed featherweight champion Jose Aldo will meet Mark Horminick at UFC 129. It takes place on April 30th at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Quebec, Canada.

Jose Aldo was originally expected to make his UFC debut in January, but a back injury forced him out the bout. He went 8-0 during his run in the UFC, nearly cleaning out the division. Aldo won the featherweight title in November of 2009 when he destroyed Mike Thomas Brown with a second round TKO. He then defended his title twice over Urijah Faber and Manny Gamburyan, before the UFC-WEC merger.

Mark Hominick has earned a shot at UFC gold following four consecutive victories in the WEC and UFC. Hominick most recently defeated George Roop in spectacular fashion at UFC Fight Night 23 with a first round TKO victory.
