The final quarterfinal match-up in Bellator’s welterweight tournament is set for the televised main card of Bellator 35. The event takes place on March 5th at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.

UK fighter, Jim Wallhead was originally supposed to be apart of last year’s tournament, but was unable to fly over to the states due to the volcanic ash cloud in Iceland. He was finally able to make his Bellator debut in October of last year, defeating Ryan Thomas by unanimous decision. The win was Wallhead’s eight-straight, and it earned him a spot in this year’s tourney.

Rick Hawn has been on a tear since making his MMA debut back in January of 2009. He made his Bellator debut last October, crushing LeVon Maynard in the first round with a TKO stoppage. Hawn was apart of the 2004 United States Olympic Judo team in Athens, Greece, finishing ninth in the standings.
