A bantamweight tilt between former WEC champion Miguel Torres and Brad Pickett has been added to UFC 130. The event takes place on May 28th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. A lightweight title fight between Frank Edgar and Gray Maynard serves as the main event for the evening.

Miguel Torres has now won back-to-back fights on his quest to regain his 135-pound title. He lost his belt to Brian Bowles back in August of 2009 and followed that defeat with another one against Joseph Benavidez. Since the two losses, Torres decided to take his training to the next level by joining the Tristar gym in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with UFC welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre. Torres defeated Antonio Banuelos with a dominant performance, earning him the one-sided unanimous decision victory at UFC 126.

Brad Pickett will make his UFC debut after an impressive 3-1 stint with the WEC. His only loss inside the promotion came against former number-one contender, Scott Jorgensen, in a fight that many considered to be a “Fight of the Year” candidate. He most recently defeated “The Pride of El Salvador” Ivan Menjivar by unanimous decision at WEC 53.
